Public Speaking Helps Students Develop Essential, Lifelong Skills
In Public Speaking class, not only will children learn how to write and present great speeches, they will also learn how to organize their thoughts quickly to speak “off the cuff,” and how to evaluate other members’ speeches in a way that is “constructive” rather than “destructive.” They'll also learn how to manage a special kind of meeting and do all of the different roles – MC, Impromptu Master, Evaluator, Timekeeper, Wordmaster, Humorist, and Poet Laureate.
Bypassing or conquering a fear of public speaking can position young people to succeed on many levels in life. We provide a practical, hands-on format and materials to help develop these skills:
- Presentation Techniques
- Mental Agility
- Meeting Management
- Critical Thinking
- Leadership
- Organizational Skills
